I need a new under hood liner. I have the aircraft firewall material one from Gonzo on my Z hood, but unfortunately Gonzo died due to complications of cancer. Does anyone know where I can get the same material, I could make my own.

Thanks

Just a hit from google, - appears "similar yet different" than the material above.

Soundproofing Foam On Wicks Aircraft Supply

Can you describe Gonzo's product a little? Was his attached with a pressure sensitive backing, contact cement, or, just the oem fender scrivits? Roll material? Hard planking? Molded to fit?

It was cut to fit the shape of the original hood liner, and he recommended a spray on glue, then roller it on as you spray to fill in all the areas of the under hood area, so there is no droop or sag, very good product.

And yes I found this same web site.

Thanks

Appears to be the Gonzo product initially discussed. Installation looks to be entailing, but that material looks quite moldable/formable giving a dressed finish. Just a brainfart, but what about cleaning/sealing the oem insulator and applying a similar covering to it and just re-installing with the clips?

Stupid question, but did the '91 have an under-hood liner?

My 9C1 car was repainted & doesn't have one currently. It doesn't really bother me not having one, but if they came with one when new, I'd like to put it back that way. Anyone know for sure?

As soon as they start to sag or come off, they go into the trash and since I think its maniacal to spend money on something that will just look bad a couple years again, I just leave it bare. My truck doesnt have one and hasnt had one for some time. its a lot nicer. you could spray the underside of the hood if you feel spirited.
