Default Questions about ABS delete/ Line lock

Just curious as to what it takes to rtemove the ABS box, and Im guessing just run straight from the proportioning valve?? I really am not sure.

Also, I figured this would be the best time to install a line-loc kit, but am clueless in that area also lol

I saw this done on Big Tuggs car, but I couldnt really see what all was done.

Thanks alot for any input,
ZACH

You should ask Buffman how he built the line lock for his car, I know at one point he thought about putting a kit together, but the wiring I think is what stopped him. I know he built it for alot cheaper than another "kit", on the market. I want to say Thunder Racing's kit.

personally unless it's some all out race car wanting to save every lb, I don't see the need to delete the ABS. If you run out of the prop valve to the line lock, then from the line lock to the front line, you will have no issues.. Have pics somewhere...

Buffman, Well I guess I could settle for that, but my ABS hasn't worked since I was 16, none of my other cars have had ABS, Im much more comfortable without it personally. lol
Not to mention that it, and its cluttered lines take up quite a bit of space Id like to free up. Plus, its ugly lol

Speaking of thunders kit....is it worth it?? I was lookig at the complete-ish kit, lines and all..... as thats the only full kit for an Impala that I have found. Im not REALLY scared to bend my own lines and what not but I was trying to avoid it unless I was droppin ABS aswell.

Thanks alot for the help fellas,
ZACH

You'll need metric bubble flare fittings if you are going to keep everything stock.

You can probably accomplish that thunder racing kit for $100 less than they sell it for if you do your own wiring and make your own lines. You could save even more by using the summit version of the line lock solenoid. If you can get all the lines off, you could easily delete the ABS and still use a line lock. I know there was a write up for ABS removal, but it's probably long gone....
